Google Now doesn’t need internet connection from now
Nowadays people are depending on Google for each and every thing they need to know. This is the trend that is only being found in developing countries like India. But in developed countries like USA, people are depending on voice assistants that has been pre-installed on their smartphone instead of normal Google search.
Currently, what voice assistants do is that they simply convert our voice to certain commands and search for the answers in Google automatically. Artificial intelligence (AI) is the scientific reason behind the operation of voice assistants.
Though they have many potentials the biggest limitation of all these voice assistants is that they require an internet connection to work.
Google has already started to overcome this limitation.
Most of us know that, all the latest version of android OS has pre-installed Google Now voice assistant and the latest version of Android that is the Marshmallow updated has a latest voice assistant called ‘Now on Tap’. which had gained many audience within few days. As already said earlier google is developing to work voice assistant without internet.
Google has recently announced a report for using artificial intelligence without internet. They have also displayed the research procedures that they are doing to develop this into real.
For this purpose, Google has stored conversations that have a total duration of 2000 hours for analyzing each and every command that has recorded in the voice assistant, This includes the voice records from different people with different ages among different countries.
Other than that they also seeked the help of YouTube for getting the most commonly searched word phrases.
The tone and speed of each command will be stored and it will be installed on the voice assistant application so that they can work on almost every commands without any data or internet connection. The interesting thing is that the app is only 20.3 MB of size and can work based on our needs. Google also claims that the new application can work 7 times faster that the previous versions.
This offline voice assistant can do all the jobs that doesn’t need internet. For example, if we need to send a mail to a specific person, tell the details of that specific person to the voice assistant and the email will be automatically drafted. This process doesn’t need an internet connection. As soon as the mobile data or wi-fi connection is turned on the email will be automatically send.
There are many other functions that can be done by the coming version of Google’s new voice assistant. The new application will be launched from the next android update onwards.
